Who can Use apprenticesearch.com?
Information seekers, educators, students, parents, community partners and others are all welcome to use the virtual library found on the website, About Trades, containing over 150 descriptions of apprenticeable trades in Ontario. Use the information in the descriptions to find out what fully qualified tradespeople do, and what skills and abilities a person might need to succeed in a particular trade of interest.
Users are welcome to click on the .pdf tab at the bottom left on the website to find Resources, such as Steps to an Apprenticeship and the Educator Resource Guide with lesson plans, all designed to provide students and potential job seeking apprentices with information they will need to follow the right steps to achieve their goal. Use the Links tab in the same spot on the website to find basic information about apprenticeship, links to job sites and related labour market information.
In News & Updates, click on the links to find information about the Ontario College of Trades, Community Calendars from relevant community agencies, and some of the pre-apprenticeship programs that may be of interest that are offered by training delivery agents in the province.
